Hours: Monday- Thursday 4:30 am-2:30 pm ( OFF Friday-Sunday)
Position Summary:
As a Cheese Maker you will be responsible for:
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are met by following internal operations procedures, cGMP’s and FDA/USDA rules and regulations
- Operate Pasteurizer and cheese vats
- Test ph and titrate acidity
- Fill cheese forms and stack on press
- Run mixer and extruder
- Assemble equipment
- Perform basic sanitation duties
- Complete charts, make sheets, and any other paperwork associated with cheese production.
- Maintain knowledge of chemicals and their usage
- Sanitize all equipment after production is complete ensuring food safety for the next day production
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of cheese equipment and machinery
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work well under deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Cheese Production Assistant, Ron’s Wisconsin Cheese, LLC

Hours: 4:00 am-2:00 pm
Position Summary:
As a Cheese Production Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are met by following internal operations procedures, cGMP’s and FDA/USDA rules and regulations
- Assist Cheesemaker in production duties
- Cheddaring, milling, scooping and pressing cheese
- Remove cheese from press
- Dress hoops
- Assist with set up for curd, whip and string orders
- Troubleshoot cheese equipment as needed
- Maintain knowledge of chemicals and their usage
- Communicate with Operations Supervisor and or Production Lead when production issues arise
- Accurately document on Pre and Post Operational Sheets, Allergen Checklist and Make Sheets
- Set-up, operate and tear down equipment for sanitation
- Clean and sanitize vats, hoops, cheese press and all other cheese making equipment including buckets and bins ensuring food safety for the next day production
- Assist with retail store as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Duties:
- Assist in setup of equipment for milking as well as cleaning and disinfecting equipment.
- Work with other milking technicians to harvest milk from our cows.
- Make sure Standard Operating Procedures are followed when working with the cows.
- Be present and ready to work on scheduled days and times.
- Notify parlor shift leader of any sick cows.
- Report any malfunction of equipment to the parlor shift leader.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve company goals.
Skills and Experience:
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience operating dairy equipment.
- Bilingual a plus but not required.

Farm Equipment Operator/Mechanic
Job Type: Full-time
Position Summary:
As a Mechanic / Farm Equipment Operator you will be responsible for:
- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the farm equipment and building systems.
- Performing welding and fabrication.
- Operating payloaders, tractors, skid steers, cropping equipment, semi-tractors, and other modern-day large farm equipment.
- Performing other general farm maintenance and other duties as assigned, including uncovering and covering piles, washing equipment, making firewood, snow removal and other laborious duties.
- Complying with all safety policies, practices, and procedures and utilizing appropriate safety equipment at all times.
- Participating in proactive team efforts to achieve company goals.
- As a cropping business, work demands vary based on seasonal demands.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- A mechanically minded individual who can troubleshoot problems and is comfortable repairing and maintaining equipment and buildings.
- Welding experience.
- Experience operating large farm equipment and semi-tractors.
- Strong communications skills.
- Problem solver.
- Independently motivated / team-oriented.
- Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow written and oral directions.
- Ability to lift at least 100 lbs.
