Duties:

  • Assist in setup of equipment for milking as well as cleaning and disinfecting equipment.
  • Work with other milking technicians to harvest milk from our cows.
  • Make sure Standard Operating Procedures are followed when working with the cows.
  • Be present and ready to work on scheduled days and times.
  • Notify parlor shift leader of any sick cows.
  • Report any malfunction of equipment to the parlor shift leader.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve company goals.

Skills and Experience:

  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Experience operating dairy equipment.
  • Bilingual a plus but not required.

Farm Equipment Operator/Mechanic

Position Summary:

As a Mechanic / Farm Equipment Operator you will be responsible for:

  • Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the farm equipment and building systems.
  • Performing welding and fabrication.
  • Operating payloaders, tractors, skid steers, cropping equipment, semi-tractors, and other modern-day large farm equipment.
  • Performing other general farm maintenance and other duties as assigned, including uncovering and covering piles, washing equipment, making firewood, snow removal and other laborious duties.
  • Complying with all safety policies, practices, and procedures and utilizing appropriate safety equipment at all times.
  • Participating in proactive team efforts to achieve company goals.

Position Summary

Essential Position Duties

  • Ensure food safety and quality standards are met by following internal operations procedures, cGMP’s and FDA/USDA rules and regulations

  • Sanitize all equipment after production is complete ensuring food safety for the next day production
  • Assist with the retail store as needed

Fresh Cow Manager

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Herd Manager, the Fresh Cow Manager is responsible for

Essential Position Duties

  • Oversee calving barn
  • Communicate with Herd Manager daily on cow health
  • Diagnose and treat animals with health issues
  • Educate maternity team on protocols and procedures
  • Review camera footage of calvings
  • Collecting, entering, and analyzing milk data
  • Animal handling: transferring animals to different pens, assisting with transferring down cows or high attention cows
  • Follow proper protocols for collecting and preparing samples for analysis
  • Review milk sample data
  • Complete pen count tracker sheets and check parlor reports for mixed up cows
  • Monitor cow movements, ensuring cows are returned to correct pens
  • Prepare animal and milk data summaries and reports and document findings
  • Complete animal inventory and end of month KPI reports for herd data
  • Utilize Dairy Comp to record solds and dieds
  • Prepare multiple weekly and end of month animal records and lists for tracking and movement of animals
  • Identify opportunities for improving work processes and protocols
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures
  • Ensure the highest standards of the humane treatment of animals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bilingual language skills required (English/Spanish)

Quality Control Technician 

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the quality and laboratory programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:

Managing and directing quality programs and preventive controls.

Being responsible for food safety and legality.

Maintaining SQF certification and all regulatory requirements including an FSMA approved food safety plan.

Communicating out-of-spec results to appropriate personnel and assisting in investigations as necessary.

Assist in overseeing the environmental sampling program, including, investigating all positives, identifying root causes, and implementing corrections and corrective actions.

Assist in investigating all customer complaints, including leading cross-functional team to determine root cause and appropriate corrections and corrective actions. Providing professional communication to customers.

Monitoring quality key measures and trends for adherence to targets. When events occur, work with the plant manager in problem solving and investigation to identify root causes and appropriate corrections and corrective actions.

Ensuring all quality standards and procedures are maintained, including training and monitoring of new and existing employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the company’s standards for food quality and food safety, consistent with company principles.

Regular and punctual attendance and physical presence in the workplace.

Timely and accurate completion of duties.

Occasional travel for work, for things like vendor approval, regulatory training/certifications, seminars etc.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

– A Bachelor Degree in food science or related field, and 1 year of job-related experience.
