Milking Parlor Tech
Duties:
- Assist in setup of equipment for milking as well as cleaning and disinfecting equipment.
- Work with other milking technicians to harvest milk from our cows.
- Make sure Standard Operating Procedures are followed when working with the cows.
- Be present and ready to work on scheduled days and times.
- Notify parlor shift leader of any sick cows.
- Report any malfunction of equipment to the parlor shift leader.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve company goals.
Skills and Experience:
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience operating dairy equipment.
- Bilingual a plus but not required.

Relief Feeding Technician
(WEEKENDS ONLY)
Hours: 3:15 am- noon
Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy, LLC is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a part-time weekend Relief Feeding Technician. Schedule is flexible and assigned weekends vary.
Essential Position Duties
- Mix and deliver feed to cows according to prescribed diets, utilizing a mixer and loader.
- Silage face removal/management, ensuring silage remains fresh and quality is maintained.
- Discard spoiled feed to ensure only high-quality feed is maintained in the bunkers.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Ensure the highest standards of the humane treatment of animals.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve company goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to understand, communicate, and execute oral and written instructions

Retail Clerk
Essential Position Duties
- Maintain the back-stock cooler and set up merchandise displays on the sales floor.
- Greet customers in a friendly, courteous manner as they enter the store and assist them if needed, listening to their needs and developing solutions for those needs.
- Collaborate with team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized at all times.
- Ensure all daily record checks are being completed.
- Keep up to date on promotions and special sales to be able to share with the customers in-store.
- Set up promotions and assist Marketing in new ideas.
- Ensure deli case is sanitized on a quarterly basis, and products are rotated as needed, ensuring no outdated products are in the case.
- Schedule and coordinate UPS deliveries/pickups.
- Ensure samples are under a dome and rotated every three hours for freshness.
- Ensure sure meat slicer is cleaned twice a day per Health Inspector’s advice.
- Maintain inventory in the store and communicate with Production Supervisor if more product needs to be produced.
- Flexible and willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and associates in person and via telephone.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Production Laborer
Essential Position Duties
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are met by following internal operations procedures, cGMP’s and FDA/USDA rules and regulations.
- Keep a clean and organized work area.
- Package various sizes and shapes of cheese according to customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot cheese equipment and vacuum packing machine.
- Maintain knowledge of chemicals and their usage.
- Communicate with Operations Supervisor and or Production Lead when production issues arise.
- Accurately document on Pre and Post Operational Sheets, Allergen Checklist and Make Sheets.
- Various maintenance activities as assigned.
- Clean and sanitize area and tools as required.
- Set-up, operate and tear down equipment for sanitation.
- Sanitize all equipment after production is complete ensuring food safety for the next day production.
- Assist with retail store as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
